The history of the Messiah has been written for more than 90 years! It is a family business, founded in 1926 by Mr. Comendador Messias Baptista, continuing to be managed by his descendants to this day, now in the 4th generation. The Messias cellars and warehouses, in Mealhada, were built between 1938 and 1943. In addition to the headquarters (Mealhada), the company has the Vila Nova de Gaia Warehouse, where the Messias Port Wines are stored.
