Dear Mr. Gowan, We are very sorry to read your review, especially knowing the effort we put into providing you with the best possible experience of our authentic reality in the Chianti Rufina hills. We would like to clarify with full transparency what happened, for the benefit of future guests who will read this: At the time of your booking request, we offered you 3 alternative dates and times to choose from, and together we agreed on the one that best suited your needs, at 2:30 PM. We are a small, family-run winery and we always try to accommodate our guests. For a small internal organizational reason, we kindly asked you if it would be possible to bring the experience forward by just 30 minutes. Having not received a reply from you, we considered the booking valid and confirmed at the original time of 2:30 PM, without any cancellation or modification on our part. Only 24 hours before the experience, you requested a transfer service, a service that is not included in our tasting experience and that concerns the guest's personal organization. Despite this, we immediately took action and provided you with two direct contacts of professional drivers we regularly collaborate with. Unfortunately, with such short notice, they were not available. About 3 hours before the appointment, you informed us that you would not be coming. In that timeframe, you would still have had the possibility to reach us by taxi, a service that is always available in the area. We were sorry that the drivers we recommended were not available, and precisely to apologize for this inconvenience not dependent on us, we still offered you a lifetime 10% discount code for our online e-shop. For the reasons mentioned above, namely a cancellation communicated just a few hours before the experience and a no-show, as per our booking policy clearly communicated at the time of confirmation, it was not possible to proceed with a refund. We are truly sorry that your experience ended this way, because our goal is always to give you a beautiful memory of our territory.
